At Arden Church, we invite and encourage you to join our unified body, in a quest for the specific direction of Christ alone. Under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Dr. Leon Skinner, Arden Church is a family ALIVE for Christ, worshipping Him and impacting our community. Our leadership seeks the TRUTH of God, not what is “politically correct” but God’s Word. Our God is WORTHY. We seek Him for WHO He IS, not for WHAT He can do for us. Join us for a refreshing and renewing experience WITH our LIVING God!
As Disciples of Christ, we desire a sincere time of engaging the Holy Spirit as we seek God’s will and direction for ourselves as individuals and for our church. We desire that all of us will experience spiritual revival and adopt a posture of submission, praise, anticipation and excitement as we call on the Lord to ignite us for Him and His church. Our goal is simple: we want to see His face, get to know Him better and truly follow Him. We want to energize our excitement for Him – to RENEW OUR PASSION!
Arden Church welcomes you to join us in our journey to “be” the church, not just “do” church. Do you thirst for a new kind of experience with the Almighty God? We are saved by His grace alone, but His grace transforms us and we are known by our lives in Him. Won’t you join us on this exciting journey?

EVERYONE is invited to our weekly Connections sponsored prayer time, Sundays at 9 am in the room at the back of the gym. Do you seek renewal in your relationship with the Lord? Do you covet the company and support of fellow believers? Do you need to find that original passion and excitement that we have for God as new Christians? Please plan to join us for an intimate group time seeking to know and follow God more passionately. Nobody will call on you to pray – we would just love to have you join us! We will end at 9:25 to head to our classes.

Arden News and UpdatesFebruary 2010

NMI (Nazarene Missions International) Emphasis for February is…Alabaster Offering
The offering date is next Sunday, February 14th.

The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. It gives a sense of permanence, the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.” Eighty percent of the money is used in world mission areas, and twenty percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada. Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers.

Funds from Alabaster will be used by Work & Witness teams to rebuild after the earthquake in Haiti.

Continue to pray for our Haitian Nazarene brothers and sisters as they recover from the January 12th earthquake.

To keep in touch with how the Church of the Nazarene is responding, visit www.ncm.org/haitiearthquake.

Annual Church Meeting will be held Sunday, February 21st.

Election of church officers will be before, between, and immediately following our regular services.

Copies of the Church of the Nazarene Constitution and the Covenant of Christian Conduct will be available at Arden, in the foyer.
